How We Prepared the Review

The review was prepared by Eugene K. and his team of IT experts. More than 3 months were spent on this research. We studied the offers of the most well-known providers in the virtual mailbox industry and selected the leading services.

Then we conducted tests and compared more than 30 providers to select and publish the top 10 of them on our website. We had to create accounts, go through the notary verification process, communicate with the support team, download the app, and more. All of this was necessary to see these apps from the customer’s point of view, making our review as expert and objective as possible.

Comparative Table
Go to the detailed Comparative Table

Determine your needs and use our convenient comparative table along with our detailed reviews of each provider in the relevant section of our website. This table is handy easy to understand. We have compared 4 main factors: Price, Number of locations, Extra features, and Available Mobile Apps.

Price is always one of the most important factors. It can vary widely and usually depends on the membership plan and features you wish to include in your online postal provider such as mail forwarding, open&scan, check deposits, etc. Try to figure how much incoming mail you will have and what features you need. After that, compare prices considering extra features and extra fees in case you will exceed your basic plan.

What Other Questions Should You Ask Before Making a Choice?

    • Can you pay monthly or annually only? Some mailbox providers indicate the price per month, but in fact, you can only subscribe if you pay for the whole year at once.
    • Does this mailbox service offer a free trial? Do they have a money-back guarantee?
    • Does the price vary for different locations? Quite frequently, advertisements state the minimum price for virtual mailbox services. However, for the vast majority of locations, the price can be significantly higher.
    • Do they offer support by phone and messaging apps or only by email?
    • How do they manage your mail? Do they manage it on their own or do they have outside parties dealing with your mail?
    • Do they have integration with DropBox, GoogleDrive, or other service
    • How fast do they scan your mail upon your request?

After choosing the provider, you need to select the plan. More expensive packages can include features that you won’t even use, while cheaper plans might be wrong for you. Keep all this in mind and make the right choice!

  1. This claim is absolute nonsense:

“Cheapest & Value – Anytime Mailbox”

They don’t say which location charges $4.98/m. You’re unlikely to find that price browsing through their locations. Very few locations are under $9.99/m. Anytime Mailbox is actually the most expensive services to receive mail — assuming you receive any mail. The problem with your claim is it assumes the subscriber receives zero mail. What’s the point? Their allowance is PER PAGE (not per envelope) and they charge charge a high price PER PAGE.

When I took my own stats of mail received for 1 year and the page counts into account, Anytime Mailbox was the *most expensive* of all the services you mention ($584.50/year). And that’s not heavy volume.. it’s an average of 14 envelopes/month (30-200 pages/month depending on the month).

(btw, i’m submitting a bogus address so no need for reply.)

    1. We are not looking at individual cases. That’s what we write, that you have to count the volume of specific services in each case. This is the only way to choose the best virtual mailbox provider for you. Many people receive 1-2-3 letters per month, and sometimes 1 letter per 2-3 months. At the same time you have to pay for a subscription to a virtual mailbox all the time! If you need more services, Anytime Mailbox offers an advanced plan instead of the basic one.
